The New Era - Mid-December (Vid.2)

"There's so many things I still remember..."

I intended this track to be somewhat like a collage, or like a tapestry, or as in the poem by Earl W. Count, something like a Loom; although much of the lyrics in the song were sorta' like written 'tongue in cheek'...

I have to say, however, there was a very insightful and wise tweet that caught my attention recently, which also kinda' describes my mindset in relation to at least the mid-section of this track, as an element of the inspiration to what I had intended to be a part of this loom, and what many believe to be the true spirit and meaning of Christmas - as well as many of the traditions and folklore (and memories) that have become a part of this beautiful (though often sad, yet hopeful) holiday season...

Hmm, just noticed that the particular twitter post (link) I was referring to above, along with the whole Twitter account no longer exists! Interesting. But anyway, the quote I was referring to went something like this: "The Narcissist and the Empath often come from the same place of extreme trauma; but each personality type reacts to their experience differently. For instance, whereas the narcissist will use their experience to harm and hurt others, the Empath, who understands what it is like to experience suffering themselves, would never 'maliciously' cause harm, suffering, or pain to others." I guess, curiously (in relation to that same spirit of Christmas and all) this kinda' lines up (I have to say) with that pretty profound passage in the Bible (I can still recall from when I was a kid) where (in different ways and translations for instance) it is written: "Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy or boast. It is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way. It is not quick tempered or resentful. It does not rejoice over wrongdoing or falsehood, but rejoices with the truth and what is right..."  -1 Cor. 13: 1-13

Too Deep...
