A Message about The Discontinuation of the CD Baby Online Retail Store...

Almost forgot to mention, CD Baby, in addition to recently eliminating their webhost provider services, which I used myself for like over 10 yrs, and who is my current online distributor, has now discontinued their online retail store as well! Although, they still seem to be stongly involved with the distribution side of their business, it still came as a BIG surprise to many people, and artists (including myself, of course) and a HUGE change. The end of another era, I guess; but CD Baby was like the first at their game, and from what I understand, still pretty much the biggest online music distributor out there...

So, although my songs will still be available for download on platforms like Amazon and iTunes, for example, I am still not sure how it is going to work with the physical side of the sales, and the distrution of CD's for instance. (I know allot of Indie artists and musicians must be freaking out over this). Currently looking into several possible options, but ya know, one's life takes precedence; so it may take a little while to figure some things out, and work on that side of it. I did recently set-up an account with Bandcamp, as one alternative, and option that I am currently still working on. (And learning about). But anyway, you can click-on the image above to read the CD Baby announcement regarding this change. And, of course, because the CD Baby store has been discontinued, I had to remove that particular Music Player Store Widget from the website here. Whew, guy's are killin' me...

(Of course, one can still utilize the 'Buy' tab here to locate the tracks for sale; and from what I understand, my current webhost provider has a feature to sell music and merchandise directly from my own website, which I have yet to learn, but I would still have to do much of the fulfillment part of it myself).

Also, the Corona Virus Pandemic scare thing (created by some of our corrupt and insane politicians) that has been going on for months now (along with most arttists and professional musicians) seems to be affecting CD Baby as well, in different ways. Strange times, for sure. No doubt about that...
