Just received text message from my friend Steve: "So, Entenmann's is closing and who does News 12 interview? Not the CEO of Entenmann's but you guessed it - Fu*kin' Dennis!!!"
Note: It looks like the first video of the brief interview with my friend Dennis (one of the original members of The New Era band, as a matter of fact) can currently only be viewed using the Internet Explorer browser. (May have something to do with the JavaScript of the embedded video is no longer compatible with browsers like Google Chrome, possibly). There was also a much longer video of an interview with Dennis by a Long Island news crew, that also seems to be no longer available as well, although I haven't really searched to see if something has been co-posted on YouTube either yet. I have shared another video here though, below, of course. Fuckin' Dennis. Fuckin' Steve...
At one time, Entenmann's employed over 1000 people at its Bay Shore facility, and was probably the last Unionized work place left on Long Island. My friend, Dennis (see Bio and Photo page) had been employed there for something like 36 years of his life!
