From, 'The New Era' EP - 'And Then, Winter Came...'
This was one of the first tracks that I recorded on my home Porta Studio - that I was just beginning to learn, and experiment with, back in Walkersville, Maryland - and a track which (of course) eventually wound up on the album. I originally wrote this particular song however, when I was around 15 yrs old. Long time ago. It pretty much wrote itself, just fooling around on the guitar one day. (Pretty simple lyrics, as it stands right now anyway). Still remember those family gatherings during the holidays though, and all the great food, friends, and fun, that somewhat influenced the tune. Sorta' like 'a little ditty', as they say, that I really didn't take too seriously...
But anyway, the line in the Middle 8: "Dawn will bring the angels..", etc. was actually inspired by a friend some time later...
Note: Of course, this is also a homemade video, that I recorded in a particular area in Raleigh, North Carolina (in Dec 2017) where allot of people would decorate their houses for the holidays in a big way...
