The New Era - It Wasn't Time

By the way, can anyone guess the name of the entry for the picture of the contestant who won the best Halloween costume for 2009, and probably the best Halloween costume of all time in the history of the world - hands down?

Can you guess? No? The picture's right there, towards the beginning of the video. Ya know, the one who looks like a dead person chompin' at the bit - for some reason? Still can't guess? Why the entry was called of course: "HEAD OF THE TABLE"!!! Duh. Sorry, you can't have the privilege and wonderful experience (like I had) of working there.

"Na, na, na, na, na." (Only kidding). In fact, here's the actual picture...

Oh my God. Almost forgot about this one. What a trip. "They're creepy and their kooky, nefarious and spooky, their altogether hookey..." And I guarantee, they're going to know that I posted this. (It's always the way). Oh yea, this may be good. (I also noticed that this picture is much clearer and well-defined in the Google Chrome browser then in Internet Explorer for some reason). Enough said. Except...

Customer: "Hey can you point me to the manager who is supposed to be overseeing the modification of my loan - before my house goes into freakin' foreclosure? I know there's allot of government money out there that is supposed to be allocated for this - to help distressed homeowners like myself, who now find that their property is underwater and are in financial distress because of the great recession." Employee: "Yes maam, I understand, she is right over there." Customer: "Ahhh!!! Oh my God, the Addams Family is servicing my loan. Somebody shoot me!" Employee: "Now maam, calm down. Ya know that they can't let you leave now, right? You've seen and know too much. Customer: "Nooo!!! I know there has got to be some normal, decent people here. I've talked to at least one of them over the phone. What did you do to them?" Employee: "Maam, you don't want to know." Customer: "Wait a minute, what about Dodd-Frank? Why isn't Congress, or the FBI for that matter, doing anything about this? Surely, this must have at least been exposed in one of Michael Moore's movies?" Employee: "Well maam, you do know that we have some serious problems on both the right and the left in this country, don't you? And how deliberately slow people here are to understand and do the right thing. No? As far as Congress, Dodd-Frank, and the FBI, well your kiddin' right?" Customer: "No, I am not. Not everyone is bought, apathetic, or deliberately stupid. That's always the negatively cynical attitude of a criminal, and what they bank on, (no pun intended) isn't it?" Employee: "Well maam, you know what us sociopath, white-collar, career criminals like to always say: 'We'll see'." Customer: "Oh my God, our country and government is creating monsters!" Employee: "I know. Woahahaha..."

Just having some fun with this. You kinda' just sometimes have to man...

All kidding aside, and on a much more serious note though, (with all things considered, and not to get on a soapbox here), my strong belief (and I know what I am talking about when I say this), is that the American people (if they really want change, like those of us who are truly honest and law-abiding individuals), are definitely going to have to vote in more Progressive candidates to Congress - who are for public funding of political candidates, and who support an amendment to the constitution - to remove the dirty money from politics. (And that is an amendment that is probably going to have to be added to the voting booth and ratified by the states, instead of going through Washington - which is already way too addicted to the lobbyist and dark corporate funding, for the most part anyway. As is unfortunately, much of our media). Just sayin' man. It DEFINITELY makes the most sense when you really think about it - and a strong foundation for REAL change, and removing all the corruption. And then, we can have REAL debates about the REAL issues, and REALLY do something about them. (Instead of things like "the pot calling the kettle black"). So, there definitely are solutions. (And in all fairness to guys like Michael Moore, who I do like, he is at least one of those who has been saying this himself for years). Take it for what its worth...

I think this is better then Watergate. In fact, I think this is THE REAL story of the century. But nobody does the right thing. (Or practically nobody). It's incredible. Never ceases to blow my mind. But that's me. (And that's why we have the problems we have). Too deep.

Enough said...

One last thing though. I shouldn't even have to mention this, but just in case, (and to prevent any misunderstanding), I noticed that the date of my Twitter and YouTube post of the 'It Wasn't Time' music video seems to oddly coincide with the date of the passing of Barbara Bush. This was definitely not intentional, but just an odd coincidence. I don't know much about her, but I think Ms. Bush seemed to be a decent person. Strange coincidence for sure - because of the strange picture that I included in the video (and posted above), which was in reference to the lyrics. But ya know, that whole situation (and that strange humor in relation to this, at the mortgage servicing company that I worked at, at the time) did have a really dark feel to it, to begin with. And that was exactly my point, and at least part of the reason for my commentary in this blog post. But yea, the two things are TOTALLY coincidental. Unfortunately coincidental, for that matter. But I just thought about it, and just wanted to make sure, as I said, that there is no misunderstanding. I would NEVER (deliberately, or maliciously) ever do something like that. Just happens to be the date that I finished the video, and just wanted to post it when I had completed it; mostly for entertainment purposes, if nothing else...
