This track, is another musical work that was also inspired in part, by a Gothic, Supernatural, Thriller called: 'The Crow' - featuring Brandon Lee. (And an absolutely AWESOME freakin' flick!)
Strangely (and ironically) Lee (son of Bruce Lee) actually lost his life while filming this movie. What a loss. R.I.P. Brandon. I dedicate this in your memory...
The chord changes in the chorus (and the verse for that matter) were actually written many years ago, when I was around 18 years old, for some kind of modal interchange project (from what I remember) while I was attending music school. (Basically, like an exercise, using chordal jazz voicings). I had always liked the chord structure, and for quite some time, wanted to do something with it, but also knowing that It would be something of a challenge to write a song around it, and it was. So, now all these years later, after taking it off the back burner and all, I feel I can now finally put the whole idea to rest, I guess…
