One helluva' wise quote from a brilliant mystic...

Yea, this guy knew his psychology, for sure. Makes so much freakin' sense, and something that I just intuitively knew and understood myself. (So incredibly insightful, yet so simple). And the real reason why 'religion' itself can be so f*cked-up; and why it often attracts so many crazy people, and so many frauds to begin with. (There have been more killings, and bat crazy shit, and even lives destroyed in the name of religion, then almost anything else. i.e. The Crusades, The 'Holy' Wars, The Salem Witch Trials, Eric Rudolph, etc). Think about it. And then, there have also been some pretty cool people, like this guy. But from what I recall, he seems to always make a distinction between the two things. In other words, "God is too big for any one religion", I think was another one of his quotes, if I'm not mistaken. Even though, he was a Catholic Monk himself!!! Whew. Too Deep. But here's just one case in point...

Ironically, yea I would say these guys were going to hell! Whew. And this is just one of the reasons why I believe man is definitely capable of such great evil. History itself (as one can see here) bears that out. Ya know, there's actually a passage in the Bible (speaking of some of the contradictions there) when we are often thought (like in Catholic school for instance) that Jesus sorta' like welcomed everyone and all, and taught about turning the other cheek, etc. (Like he was some kind of imbecile or somethin'). But there is a very interesting passage in the Bible (when Jesus was like in a particular situation, and in a particular locale) where it actually says: "He entrusted himself to none of them, because he knew them all. (Even though, he really didn't know them all personally. Although, any true psychic/intuitive would have that ability). He did not need anyone to tell him about human nature. He knew what was in a man's heart." Chew on that one! Sorta' like doesn't explain the Judas thing though. Although, in all fairness, it does state that he knew what kind of person Judas really was, and that he was not one of his disciples that he really trusted, or was close to. And the Bible does indicate that Jesus said that he was going to lay down his life willingly, and that no one takes it from him. But that's neither here nor there...

Although (I have to say) if all the miracles are true, and he really did then perform the greatest miracle of all, by rising from the dead, yea, then he would really be the King of The Universe for sure. No doubt about it. And DEFINITELY gets my respect, to say the least. As no other spiritual leader (or human being for that matter) even comes close. But that is a BIG if...

Cosmic religious feeling is, as per Einstein,  the feeling of awe and wonder at the vast intelligence that lies beyond physical creation. It is the kind of feeling you get when you realize there is more to life than just what you can sense with your physical body.

Cosmic religious feeling is just one of the many outcomes that arise when people have "mystical experiences." These outcomes, most of which are positive are the core of this "third stage." It's these experiences, and the personal and collective transformations they might bring, which is what Einstein, and others, felt could save humanity. Not "god" or "energy" but humans' transformed by the experiences of this "third stage."  -Lightning Path (Responding to a YouTube viewer's comment).
